Mohanlal's 'Maadambi' rules the Kerala box office, this weekend. The top five in the list are:

1. ‘Maadambi’- Mohanlal will have a sign of big relief as his new flick 'Maadambi' has started with the typical Mohanlal opening and is registering the cash boxes tingling all through the week. The movie is said to have grossed around 2.5 crores from its first week, one of the biggest ever collections for a Lal starrer in the opening week. The movie is expected to end up as a big hit.

2. 'Minnaminnikoottam'- Kamal's new flick opens at the second position, at the Box office. The movie has mixed reactions form the first day audience, but may pick up, if the family audience starts pouring in to see their favorite young stars. Targeted at the youth with the share of love, humor, songs and sentiments, the movie may do well, if marketed intensively.

3. 'Dasavatharam'- The movie which opened to bumper collections in the opening weekend in all the centers, now moves on with forty percent collections in urban centers. The movie registers good collections in the weekends even in lesser known centers.

4. 'One Way Ticket' - This Prithviraj starrer continues in a very few centers and will at the best, end up as an average earner.

5. 'Annan Thampi'- Mammootty's ‘Annan Thampi’ is in its last lap of reaching hundred days. The movie continues in very few of its releasing centers, but have already collected enough to be proclaimed as the first mega hit of the year.

The other movies in the theatres include Lal’s ‘Innathe Chintha Vishayam’, and ‘Mizhikal Saakshi’, Jayasuriya's ‘Shakespeare MA Malayalam’, which has completed fifty days. The new other language releases that are going pretty well are’ Imran Khan's ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na', English movie 'Hancock’ and Bharath's ‘Muniyandi Vilangiyal Moodramaandu’.
